À l’été 2023, la ville a mis sur pied la Table de l’Habitation pour discuter des enjeux d’urbanisme et dégager une vision claire du développement urbain à Dunham. La Table est composée de six citoyens et de deux conseillers municipaux.
La Table de l’Habitation a lancé un sondage en 2023, tenu trois rencontres citoyennes et s’est réuni en comité pour discuter des enjeux suivants:
- densification du territoire
- unités accessoires d’habitation
- abordabilité
- hébergement touristique
- patrimoine et intégration architecturale
Le conseil a rencontré des citoyens le 15 avril dernier pour discuter des UHA (unités d’habitation accessoires). Il y a eu environ 20 participants, en plus de commentaires qui ont été acheminés par courriel. Il y aura d’autres rencontres bientôt et des recommandations au conseil pour d’éventuels changements à la réglementation municipale. Gardez un oeil ouvert pour ne pas manquer ces rencontres !

In the summer of 2023, the city set up the Table de l’Habitation (Housing Table) to discuss urban planning issues and come up with a clear vision of urban development in Dunham. The Table is made up of six citizens and two municipal councillors.
The Table de l’Habitation launched a survey in 2023, held three citizens’ meetings, and met as a committee to discuss the following issues:
- urban densification
- adjoining residential units
- affordability
- tourist accommodation
- heritage and architectural integration
The council met with citizens on April 15 to discuss ADU’s (accessory dwelling units). There were about 20 participants as well as comments sent in by email. There will be other meetings soon, and recommendations will eventually be sent to city council for changes to city by laws. Keep an eye out so you don’t miss these meetings!
